It's an app that lets your parent friends know you're taking the kids to the playground.

It's a side project I made for fun. When your kids are bouncing off the walls, you've got to head to the playground right now. You could just text the other parents where you're headed, but it's more fun to use an app — right? Right...?

My what?

The app uses your phone's location to center the map. That's it — it's not saved anywhere. When you press the orange button to "sound the horn" at the playground, we let other members of your family groups know which playground you're at. No one else can see it. You can leave a group at any time.

Playground Horn lets you create or join family groups. Members of a group can see when other families in the group are at the playground. Most parent communities in San Francisco already have a WhatsApp group, so I recommend creating a separate family group in Playground Horn for each of those communities — preschool class, soccer team, neighborhood friends, and so on.
